Appetizers

A family-owned Mexican kitchen pouring abuela's recipes over Kentucky's finest harvests — perched above the water in Somerset, KY.

In 2018, the Hernández family loaded up a beloved comal, a thirty-year-old mole recipe, and a small dream — and pointed the truck toward Lake Cumberland. They fell hard for the rolling green hills, the slow summer evenings on the water, and the farmers who showed up at the back door with sweet corn still warm from the field.
Today, La Hacienda blends abuela Rosa's authentic Pueblan cooking with the best of Kentucky — bourbon-glazed carnitas, rainbow trout veracruzana, and esquites built from local sweet corn. Every dish is made by hand, every tortilla pressed in-house, every margarita poured with a smile.
